Notes:
a. Pertaining to the Dividend in Specie announcement by Telekom Malaysia Berhad’s (“TM”) on 11 April 2008, the Basket CW is entitled to 11 units of Telekom Malaysia International Berhad (“TMI”) shares per basket on the basis of 1 TMI share for every TM share held. TMI, reference price of RM7.85, will only be listed on 28 April 2008. Accordingly, the value of RM86.35 (which is RM7.85 multiplied by 11) shall temporarily form part of the basket component as Cash Component (TMI). It will be liquidated following the listing of TMI. Proceeds from the sale shall be utilised for the next income distribution i.e. 15 May 2008.
b. The Basket Component in respect to MAYBANK will be adjusted from twelve (12) shares to fifteen (15) shares per basket. The adjustment of the Basket Component is in relation to the notice of entitlement for a bonus issue of one (1) new ordinary share in MAYBANK for every four (4) existing ordinary shares (“Bonus Issue”) and will take effect on 18 February 2008 (being the ex-date of the Bonus Issue). The Exercise Price and other Conditions attached to the CW will not be affected.
c. The Basket Component in respect to AMMB Holdings Berhad ("AMMB") is adjusted from six (6) shares to 6.1 shares per basket. The adjustment to the Basket Component takes into account the effects of the proposed renounceable rights issue of new ordinary shares of RM1.00 each in AMMB ("Rights Shares") at an issue price of RM3.40 per Rights Share on the basis of one (1) Rights Share for every eight (8) existing ordinary shares of RM1.00 each. The Exercise Price and other Conditions attached to the CW will not be affected.
d. Sime Darby Berhad ("SIME") has been suspended with effect from 18 October 2007, in relation to the capital repayment and the subsequent delisting exercise. SIME Shares shall remain as a component over the remaining life of the Basket. Closing price of the last trading day prior to suspension was RM11.20. Accordingly, the value of RM89.60 (which is RM11.20 multiplied by 8) shall form part of the component for the calculation of the Cash Settlement Amount in relation to an exercise of the Basket CW after the suspension and delisting of SIME Shares.
e. Following IOI Corporation Berhad’s completion of the Share Cancellation and Capital Repayment exercise on 23 August 2007, the remaining number of IOICORP Shares in the Basket i.e. 19.95 IOICOPR Shares, shall be adjusted and rounded up to 20 IOICORP Shares per Basket. Portion of the Capital Repayment amount received shall be used to purchase the shortfall of 35 IOICORP Shares for this purpose. The balance of the Capital Repayment amount shall be utilised for the next income distribution.
f. On 10 July 2007, Maxis had announced the delisting of the entire issued and paid up capital of Maxis from the Official list of Bursa Malaysia with effect from 13 July 2007. Pursuant to the delisting exercise, OSK has re-invested the total consideration amount of RM 76,438.60 in shares of the following eleven (11) Underlying Companies, namely, Malayan Banking Berhad, Tenaga Nasional Berhad, IOI Corporation Berhad, MISC Berhad, Telekom Malaysia Berhad, Public Bank Berhad, Bumiputra-Commerce Holdings Berhad, Genting Berhad, Sime Darby Berhad, Petronas Gas Berhad and PLUS Expressways Berhad, for an amount of 710 shares each. Maxis ceased to be a component of the Basket over the remaining life of the CW.
g. The consideration amount of RM10.35 for each existing ordinary share received from the Proposed Capital Repayment for the relevant MALAKOFF Shares outstanding shall be included in the income distribution for the next Record Date of 15 November 2007.
h. MALAKOFF Shares ceased to be a component of the Basket over the remaining life of the CW, following a Proposed Capital Repayment as of 30 May 2007.
i. The Basket Component in respect to IOI Corporation Berhad ("IOI") is adjusted from four (4) shares to twenty (20) shares per basket. The adjustment of the Basket Component takes into account the effects of the share split of IOI ordinary shares of RM0.50 each held on 6 June 2007 into five (5) ordinary shares of RM0.10 each and take effects on 6 June 2007.
The above eighteen companies currently represent approximately 62.6% of the KLCI Index in terms of market capitalisation.
